Nutrition and dietetics practitioners adopted a Code of Ethics to reflect the values and ethical principles guiding the dietetics profession and to set forth their commitments and obligations for the public, clients, the profession, colleagues, and other professionals. This Code was developed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (then the American Dietetic Association) Board of Directors, House of Delegates, and the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) in 2009.1 The Code of Ethics applies to all members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and all nonmember credentialed practitioners.
